About Vitol Solutions

Connecting Energy, Markets and Opportunity

Vitol Solutions is focused on connecting customers and commercial partners with opportunities across the global energy and commodities markets.

With a strategic focus on Houston and Rotterdam, two of the world's leading energy and trading hubs, we bring together market knowledge, commercial insight and a practical understanding of the energy value chain.

Our activities span oil and refined products, natural gas and LNG, power, carbon markets, supply and offtake, and emerging energy-transition solutions.

Our Purpose

Energy markets are changing rapidly. Customers increasingly require solutions that combine reliable supply, market access, flexibility and a clear understanding of evolving energy and environmental markets.

Our purpose is to help navigate this complexity by connecting people, markets, infrastructure and opportunities.

We believe that successful solutions begin with understanding the customer. Whether the requirement involves energy supply, commodity offtake, market information, strategic opportunities or transition-related solutions, our approach is commercially focused and built around individual needs.

Houston & Rotterdam

Houston provides a gateway to North America's extensive oil, gas, LNG, power and energy infrastructure.

Rotterdam connects international energy flows with Europe's major industrial, refining, logistics and consumer markets.

Together, these locations provide a valuable perspective on global energy flows and the changing relationship between producers, traders, utilities and industrial customers.

Our Approach

We are guided by four principles:

Expertise — Understanding markets and the forces that shape them.

Connectivity — Creating relationships between supply, demand and opportunity.

Flexibility — Developing solutions that respond to changing market conditions.

Long-Term Relationships — Building trusted commercial partnerships for the future.

Looking Ahead

The global energy system is entering a period of significant transformation. Traditional energy remains essential, while gas, LNG, renewable power, carbon markets, sustainable fuels and new technologies continue to develop.

We believe the future will require a connected and pragmatic approach—one that recognizes today's energy requirements while preparing for tomorrow's opportunities.

Houston has a major physical crude-oil trading and storage hub with pipeline connectivity to Cushing, Midland and the U.S. Gulf Coast. Rotterdam similarly serves as a major European crude and petroleum-products hub; Vopak's Europoort terminal, for example, handles crude and a broad range of petroleum products and has extensive refinery and pipeline connections

Energy Solutions for a Transitional World

The energy transition is not a single event. It is a long-term transformation of how energy is produced, transported, traded, consumed and managed.

For industrial companies, utilities and other large energy users, this creates both opportunities and challenges.

Energy demand continues to grow.

At the same time, customers are seeking greater efficiency, improved reliability and lower emissions. Renewable generation is expanding, but its intermittent nature creates additional requirements for balancing, flexible generation, storage, gas infrastructure and sophisticated market management.

Vitol's current public materials describe its transitional energy offering as integrated across its broader trading and investment activities, providing industrial and utility customers with supply and offtake options and access to expertise in areas such as carbon-credit-based offsetting.

Vitol Solutions embraces this broader principle:The transition requires practical solutions as well as ambition

Since spring 2025, this direction has become an increasingly important part of how we present our solutions and our role within the evolving energy landscape.

Our objective is to support customers as they navigate the space between today's energy requirements and tomorrow's possibilities.
